As a company, Bissell has set milestone after milestone, starting back in 1876 with their founder Melville R. Bissell and his wife, Anna. He invented and patented the company’s first product, and would proceed to run the company for the next 13 years. After his untimely passing, his wife took over, becoming America’s first female CEO. They even sold to Queen Victoria! Over the years, they expanded into other cleaning products as well, such as carpet shampooers and vacuums. In 2000, their focus shifted to accommodate pets and making products that help clean up after our four-legged friends. Unlike many other companies, Bissell truly understands the peace of mind that comes with a clean home, and their products will help maintain that.
